In Las Vegas Nevada around 2001 a myself and a group of my business partners were having lunch. We discussing the real estate market in Las Vegas at the time which was starting to really explode. We were discussing how to educate our clients during the mortgage and real estate processes and how to educate them for life after they moved into their homes. As a result of that meeting the EL EQUIPO LATINO (the Latin Team) was formed providing outreach to the Las Vegas Community in Home Buyer education, Credit counseling and life financial counseling . We consulted on how and held how to seminars on opening banking accounts, the proper way to maintain and manage your credit, how to start credit. How to buy a car and not have the dealer give you a bad deal. In 2007 after retiring from one of the nation's largest financial institutions. I went to work for myself as a mortgage banker and continued forward. The group at first handed out fliers door to door at fairs and community events. In 2003 with the help of one our business partners a Radio show called "Consejos para su Casa" (Advice for your Home) started running on KRLV the Hispanic market talk station. on Saturdays and Sundays 9 am to 10 am, which grew to 2 hrs on Sundays 9 am to 11 am. in 2004 until it 2008 when I had a double stroke and later moved to Laredo to meet that special lady GOD put in my life. Laredo is unique as it is a border town, Texas has been blessed with stronger economy than most areas of the country. I have re established El Equipo Latino of Laredo and we are here ready to carry out the same mission statement and Community outreach as we did in Las Vegas. The team has changed but it is as strong as ever. Our goal is to make sure no one ever has to not know about their financial life questions again.. We offer extremely low cost financial life consulting and our motto is "IF YOU DO NOT ASK THE QUESTION: HOW WILL YOU EVER KNOW THE ANSWER". and also 'no question is ever stupid or too small " God bless you and may your life be fruitful and give glory to GOD and others around you. Thank you in advance Leo Richard Whitney "he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (II Cor. 9:6). God is able to supply your every need so you don't ever have to worry about giving "too much." Jesus reminded us of this principle when he said "Give and it shall be given to you . . . with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Lk. 6:38). |
